Welcome to VIPS in Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five!

VIPS are Volunteers in Public Schools in our school district who are caring, compassionate, committed adults who donate their time to help a young person achieve greater academic success. Consider making a difference in the life of a child by joining VIPS!

Please follow these steps to become a VIPS:

Step 1: Click on Resources under the Community tab (also on left side of screen) to download the Volunteer Application or complete a paper application with a school guidance counselor or your church’s Bootstraps Volunteer Coordinator.

Step 2: The criminal history background check can typically take up to 4 weeks.

Step 3: Once you are cleared to volunteer, you will be notified to complete a brief (1 hour) orientation session and then you may begin volunteering at your selected school.
